Twin Cities Bootblacks is a community of bootblacks, and friends of bootblacking, in Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
What is a bootblack?
A bootblack cleans, conditions and polishes boots and shoes. In the leather community it’s also a tradition of service, craft and connection. A shine is a small, personal moment between the bootblack and the person getting it, and stands are a familiar sight at leather bars and events.
What we do
- Set up bootblack stands at community events
- Get together to share tips, tools and techniques
- Welcome and teach anyone who wants to learn
- Show up for the Twin Cities leather community
